This is the first progress update of the Squad: Dutch Armed Forces mod. I will be telling you about how the mod is going, what's being worked on, some plans and ofcourse; how I imported the one and only Colt Canada C7NLD.

Good! I've been working on this mod for about 2 months now, and i just finished my first weapon. I've learnt alot and i'm working on the future additions too. I have alot of support from you all which I want to thank you for. I'm getting help from the OWI devs and the Community Modding Hub members, which i really appreciate as i am a sort of single dev (for now). I have 1 guy who is working on a CV90 model, which is ofcourse the Dutch IFV.

The C7NLD will be the main rifle for the faction, just like the M4A1 for the yanks. There will be 2 options for the rifleman kit: A C7NLD with a CompM4 and one with a Aimpoint 3X magnifier.

Technically, every Dutch rifleman has a deployable bipod. I'm going to only allow this feature on the Squadleads, cause else it'll be a bit unbalanced. The model will still be there on the riflemen though. The crewmen and pilots will be equipped with a C8NLD, a CompM4 and a grippod. The grenadiers will have a H&K 40mm UGL, under a C7NLD equipped with a CompM4.

So I want to tell you about a couple of equipment choices that i've made. The first is the clothing. I will be doing a mix of NFP and woodland. For example, an NFP shirt/attack backpack, but woodland pants (which is something you'd see today). Another could be a coyote assault backpack, STRONG helmet, an NFP vest and woodland fighting clothes, and so forth.

The second are some weapons. The marksman rifle will be the H&K417 with a Swarovsky optic, and a surpressor + bipod. The heavy machine gun will be a FN MAG, referred to by the canadians as the C6 i think.

The last is the commander support functions. The CAS support will be an F-16 gun strafe, possibly in a polly grey livery (might talk to a DCS livery maker about that). The artillery will be the same as the Brits. That was it for now. Thanks for the support, stay put until the next progress update!
