The Digital Abstract Expressionism Association is a practical formation established solely by Takeshi Maki through his practice of Digital Abstract Expressionism.

The Digital Abstract Expressionism Association is not subordinate to existing artistic institutions, systems of evaluation, or systems of value.

Principle III — Non-Lineage

Digital Abstract Expressionism is neither a digitization nor an offshoot of historical Abstract Expressionism.

Principle IV — Essence

The difference between digital and analog is neither a difference in value nor in essence. It is solely a difference in the mode of materialization.

Principle V — Inwardism

The sole ground of a work's value is not external criteria, but the internal necessity through which the work could not have failed to come into existence. This principle is Inwardism.
