d_abdu

d_abdu is the moniker and the Xbox 360 gamertag of Ethio/Irish musician Dara Abdurahman.

Hidden in plain view playing bass in bricknasty since its inception, Dara now pursues his own sound, drawing from Elliott Smith, Grouper and The Microphones to make up the DNA of the d_abdu project.

The debut single 'Peter' released in February 2026 was lovingly welcomed by the Irish music scene. Dara is no stranger to Irish music at this point, working as a session bassist in Dublin since 2019, strectching from RnB/Pop with Aby Coulibaly to the folk of Kingfishr. The kid has range.
