Delta Area Association of School Psychologists (DAASP) was founded in roughly 1975. Our founding board had a vision to be the catalyst for transformative change in education, championing policies and practices that ensure school psychologists are valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. Their mission was to promote professional standards, provide a platform for school psychologists, enhance their effectiveness, foster collaboration, advocate for the profession, support individual student needs, influence state legislation, and support the California Association of School Psychologists.
DAASP has evolved significantly over the years, adapting to leadership changes and the evolving landscape of school psychology. As the field has grown more complex, our mission remains steadfast: to honor the vision of our founders while providing essential support to our practitioners, communities, and students.
