Welcome to GEMS Dubai American Academy's Middle School Summer Learning Website. Students who are transitioning from Grade 5 into Grade 6 should click on the 'Grade 6 tile' below, students moving from Grade 6 into Grade 7 should click on the 'Grade 7 tile' below, and those students transitioning from Grade 7 into Grade 8 should click on the 'Grade 8 tile' below.

Linked to each Grade Level tile is a 'padlet' listing each subject and their summer learning resources. We hope you find our Google Site easy to navigate. Please check you can access prior to July 3rd and advise the MS Office if you have any problems so that they can provide you with assistance.

All incoming Middle Students are kindly requested to access their summer learning materials, familiarize themselves with the content and resources available to them, and utilize the resources during the period of Summer Learning. Completing the Summer Learning will give all incoming Middle School students a distinct advantage when our next academic year begins.

Summer Learning supports DAA students as they learn and develop important approaches to learning (ATLs) including, self-management, critical thinking skills as well as building independence and confidence.
