Effective November 20, 2017.
The camera is ONLY USED to scan QR codes at bus stops where a schedule box exists.
The text from the QR code is then copied onto the clipboard and is used to generate the appropriate bus stop sign.
The camera CAN NOT and WILL NOT take any photos outside of scanning QR codes.
Information used from the QR code is only used to open the appropriate data from bus stops accessible through the OneBusAway API on MTA BusTime and will be deleted once the app is closed except where applicable clipboard storage is used on certain phones. This information is NEVER sent to third parties.
