D2 (Dawn & Des) embrace the idea of making creative, social commentary by repurposing snippets from the theatre canon - thoughts, images and bits of dialogue from public lectures, interviews, video, and social media - creating a new, unique and original narrative form. They conflated fiction with aspects of real people and situations to form characters and plot. All delivered in a fun, ironic and slightly absurd theatrical package.

Over the years as directors, designers and university educators, Dawn & Des collaborated on many theatre productions and educational projects. More recently, they started writing plays together to embrace the idea of making entertaining theatre with a social conscience. Development and production of their work is realized by Curious Creations Theatre, a society where they share the roles of co-artistic and managing directors.
