D does not collect, store on any server, sell or share your personal data. Everything it does happens in your browser. There are no analytics, no ads, no accounts and no tracking.
Pages you visit. To find videos, D looks at the network requests and video players on the page you are viewing. This happens only inside your browser. D does not record or send anywhere which websites you visit.
Network requests. D only connects to the website you are on and the servers that site uses to deliver its video (for example its streaming or file servers), to fetch the video you chose to download. When downloading, D may send the same page address ("Referer") the site's own player sends, only to that video's servers and only while that download runs. D has no server of its own and makes no other connections.
Stored on your device only.
Your settings and your download history (title, quality, file name, page address, finish time; at most 500 entries). You can turn history off or clear it in D's settings at any time.
The list of videos found in your open tabs and the state of running downloads. These are kept only for your browser session and are deleted when you close the browser.
Downloaded videos are saved by your browser to your downloads folder, like any other download.
Uninstalling D removes all of the above data that D stored.
D has a "Report a problem" option. Nothing is recorded unless you submit the form. When you click it, the form opens in a new tab with these values filled into its address, so you can see, edit or remove everything before sending:
D's version and your browser's name and version
the address of the page where the problem happened, without the part after "?" or "#"
the type of video stream and the error message D showed
anything you choose to write, and an email address only if you want a reply
Reports are collected with Google Forms and stored in a Google Sheet that only the publisher can access. Google's privacy policy applies to that processing: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Reports are used only to fix problems and improve which sites D supports, and are never sold or shared.
D asks for access to the sites you visit because videos can be on any website and D needs to detect them where they play. This access is used only for finding and downloading videos as described above.
D is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
