I am a Postdoc in physics. I study physical properties of familiar materials and systems through simple mathematical models. My research has addressed systems such as jammed packings, periodic tangles, and phase-separating mixtures. I use a combination of theoretical modeling, numerical calculations, and experimental approaches.
Recently, I have been focusing on systems where the number of degrees of freedom and constraints are finely balanced, where small structural changes can lead to distinct dynamical or mechanical responses. I am also exploring connections between these ideas and problems in biology, planetary science, and engineering.
Currently staying with the Mahadevan Group at Harvard University for a few months.
