There’re Algae in Your Ice Cream
Algae are used to make a thickening agent called carrageenan, which is found in foods like ice cream, pudding, and even toothpaste! Next time you’re enjoying a creamy dessert, think about the little algae that helped make it so smooth.
The conference will take place at the Faculty of Science, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, Branišovská 1716/31c, České Budějovice, CZ-370 05, Czech Republic.
The conference will take place in modern lecture rooms, equipped with all presentation technology. Coffee breaks and welcome party will take place in the spacious airy foyer.
You can use the faculty garden and dendrological garden for discussions and walks during the day or during coffee breaks.

On the left is Building C, but here is a rival conference 🏴☠️. We recommend giving it a wide berth 😅 (unless you enjoy awkwardly crashing the wrong event ).
Here you'll find our registration desk – right next to the real 🐘 elephant skeleton (no tusks though… you know how it goes). You simply can’t miss us – this is where you’ll get everything you need to start your conference adventure!

Welcome party and coffee breaks will be provided by BISTRO COBLIHA.
Lunches are provided in the canteen of the Biological Center of the Academy of Sciences.
Farewell party will be held in the Small Brewery Club near the faculty.
All social events are covered by a fee.
