Events
Cypress High School FBLA Members first begin your journey at the Section Level at the California FBLA Southern Section Leadership Conference, by choosing Two Section Level Competitive Events to compete in. There are Objective testing Events, Performance Events, Production Events and Team Events. Ideally you will qualify to move on to the California FBLA State Competition as a finalist in one of your Events at Section. You may then also compete in an additional Event that starts at State. Each member should compete at Section level first: in order to compete at the State Level. All Members should use the resources below to choose specifically:
1. TWO Competitive Events to compete in at the California FBLA Southern Section Leadership Conference.
2. TWO Competitive Events to compete in at the California FBLA State Leadership Conference. (This may include one or both of your Section Events: if you qualify to move forward in both, or it may be other different events.)
Qualify to move on the FBLA National Competition, this year June 29 - July 2 in Orlando, Florida!

COMPETITIVE EVENTS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
The FBLA mission is to prepare students for successful careers in business through support for curriculum development and innovative assessment tools. To help meet that charge, the FBLA Competitive Events Program has been developed and made available to local and state chapters for use in assessing students in the various knowledge, skills, and abilities that make up today's business education curriculum. FBLA competitive events prepare students for successful careers in a broad range of business and career-related areas. The competitive event guidelines and competencies are created for competitors, advisers and judges.

FBLA Event Guidelines: 2023 - 2024
FBLA High School Competitive Events (Guidelines)
Competitive events at the National Leadership Conference play an integral role in the mission of FBLA. They prepare students for successful careers in business by providing opportunities to apply classroom concepts in a workforce-simulated competitive environment. The competitive event guidelines and competencies in the link above were created for competitors, advisers, and event judges.
Guidelines Guidelines are grouped by component (i.e., objective tests, production tests, presentation, and case study) and include an event overview, eligibilities, and instructions on how to compete. For guidelines related to a group of events, click on the group title in the table of contents in the link above. Once on a group page, click on an event name for specific guidelines.
