Grimdark, Hint of Fantasy

ABOUT: A man named Fides, his faith in the system that made great and equally horrible. The story of blind faith.

Without Doubt: TSC is a work of fiction; its religion, church, and world are entirely invented, though inspired broadly by the history and structure of organized religion.

"Fortes estote. To be brave, strong, and courageous.

Fideles estote. To be faithful, loyal, and trustworthy.

Benigni estote. And lastly, to be kind, gentle, and good-hearted." - Chapter 1, Fides' recounting of his life.
