Our purpose is to provide the very best practices and guidance for building and growing arts based non-profit organizations in order to support and realize the organizations’ mission, vision, and strategic direction.
We specialize in start-ups, small volume organizations and arts related non-profits with unique challenges. It can be a single focus or an all encompassing project to achieve a specific goal.
In an effort to realize the organization’s mission and maximize successful outcomes, we initiate the necessary due diligence to evaluate the organizations’ current position. Once strengths and weaknesses have been identified, we will meet as needed with organization members and affiliates to create and implement the proper action steps in support of their overall goal and objectives. Top experts in each field will be brought in to ensure the organization is fully educated on successful implementation. Multiple or single goal programs will be completed in a 4–6-week time frame based on mutual schedule availability.
Action steps in the process:
#1 Identify where the Organization is at:
Meet with Board members, staff (if any) and volunteers to learn organization history, current operational status and scope of mission. Establish overall willingness and ability to accomplish their mission.
#2 Identify top priorities within the organization to appropriately grow and strengthen the organization to including the following:
Governance, Laws, Budgeting, Finance, Funding, Marketing and Social Media, Succession, Emergency Planning (COVID Recovery), Recruitment, Operations, Programming, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Education, Human Resources and Payroll, Civic engagement, Advocacy and any other business development needs the organization might have. Expert sources will participate in addressing these issues.
#3 Schedule and Initiate Training and Education for the work that needs to be done:
Once the list of subject areas is defined and prioritized, a number of objectives will be chosen to be addressed. The scope of work and anticipated time required by each objective will determine the number of issues that can be addressed within the proposal. Ability and willingness of the organization members will determine the depth of action items and level of achievement.
Based upon the agreed list of objectives, meetings will be scheduled and conducted to educate, create awareness, and establish methods for the tasks that need to be accomplished. Top experts (resource list upon request) will attend meetings (either virtually or live) at mutually convenient times to offer specific instruction and share best practices for the selected objectives as needed.
#4 Schedule meetings to implement the time and action plan and set goal posts for achievement.
This time & Action document would include all tasks, names of implementors, a timeline; and statement of specific goals to be reached. This document would also include a routine calendar of dates to report progress and make needed modifications to ensure successful outcomes.
Sample grid categories by each objective include:
Task description, assignment (name), start date, target completion date, status of progress, comments; and final result with debriefing for Improvements.
