Dr. Po-Wei Chi is a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Chung Yuan Christian University and the principal investigator of the Energy Materials Manufacturing and Application Laboratory, EMMA Lab. His research focuses on energy materials design, electrode processing, electrochemical characterization, battery manufacturing, and energy storage applications. Through this work, he aims to establish an integrated research framework that connects materials development, device fabrication, and system-level validation.

He received his PhD degree from National Taipei University of Technology and completed his postdoctoral training at Academia Sinica. Throughout his academic and teaching career, he has continued to explore advanced energy storage materials, sustainable battery manufacturing, and electrochemical reaction mechanisms. His work integrates materials science, mechanical engineering, and electrochemical engineering to improve the performance, safety, manufacturability, and practical applicability of energy materials.
