Welcome to the Cycle Sport South Hams website.

Cycle Sport South Hams is a cycling club based in the South Hams area around Kingsbridge.

Cycle Sport South Hams - Vision

We aim to be a club that caters for cyclists of all disciplines and abilities
We aim to organise regular club rides and social events based upon the interests of our members
We aim to further the sport within the local area through organisation of, and participation in competitive and non-competitive events

Our members include recreational cyclists looking to enjoy riding with others, committed racers competing in regional and national events and everything between. Our club activities are geared around the interests of our members. As a British Cycling (BC) and Cycling Time Trials (CTT) affiliated club, our activities are backed by the key UK cycling governing bodies.

Cycle Sports South Hams - Racing

Members of Cycle Sport South Hams participate in a variety of cycling competitions. The most popular forms of racing amongst members are Road Racing, Cyclocross and Time Trials. Road Racing

Cycle Sport South Hams is a key part of the South Devon Road Racing scene. We have organised road races and criterium races at the Torbay Velopark. This provides an opportunity for our members and local cyclists alike to develop their skills and compete.

Cyclocross

We have an active group of members participating in the South West's Cyclocross League and competing at all levels, from beginners to seasoned veterans

Time Trials

Cycle Sport South Hams is affiliated to Cycling Time Trials to allow member to compete in CTT events.

Cycle Sport South Hams – Ethos

Being a member of a Cycle Sport South Hams means that as well as meeting and riding with like-minded cyclists in your local area, you’re helping the sport, developing athletes, chipping in with a helping hand and benefiting from the camaraderie, encouragement and development, that riding, training and racing with a club brings.

As a key part of our club vision, Cycle Sport South Hams organises a number of different cycle events throughout the year, where we call upon members to volunteer some time so that these events can take place. While individual members are not expected to help at every event where possible it is expected that all members will do their fair share of volunteering to ensure club events are successful.

Kingsbridge Cycle Club

Kingsbridge Cycle Club also operate in the Kingsbridge area. They offer a weekly programme of social road rides, aimed at recreational riders of all abilities.
