Cycle Diary — Privacy Policy

IN SHORT
Cycle Diary keeps everything you log — period dates, symptoms, mood and notes — on your device only. There is no account, no login, no cloud sync, no analytics and no crash reporting. We never receive your cycle data. The only data that leaves your device is what Google's advertising and consent services need in order to show ads.
DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
Period start/end dates, flow level, symptoms, mood, notes and your settings are stored in private app storage that other apps cannot read. Android backup is switched off for this app (allowBackup is disabled), so this data is never copied to a device backup, adb backup, or any cloud service. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. You can make your own backup at any time using Settings > Export data, which saves a file you choose the location for.
ADVERTISING
The app shows ads from Google AdMob. To do this, Google may process your advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about your device and interaction with ads. Ad requests never include any health information, keyword, content URL or custom targeting derived from your cycle data. Where required, the app asks for your consent first through Google's User Messaging Platform, and you can change that choice at any time under Settings > Ad privacy options.
PERMISSIONS
Notification permission is requested only when you switch a reminder on. Biometric permission is used only if you enable app lock, to unlock the app with your device's fingerprint or face unlock. Internet access is used for advertising only; every other feature, including all cycle tracking, works fully offline.
CHILDREN
Cycle Diary is a general-audience app about menstrual cycle tracking and is not directed at children.
DELETING YOUR DATA
You can permanently delete everything the app has stored at any time from Settings > Delete all data. Because nothing is stored anywhere but your device, uninstalling the app has the same effect.
NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE
Cycle Diary provides estimates calculated from the information you enter. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and must not be used as a method of contraception or to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Cycle length varies, and estimates can be wrong. For any health concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
