Cycle Friendly Destinations

Cycle Friendly Destinations

Cycle Kettering has discovered the most important things a destination can do to be cycling friendly is to provide secure, convenient, visible parking and access to water and restroom facilities. Ensuring cyclists have a safe place to park—ideally in a covered, high-traffic area, or inside the building— makes the destination immediately accessible to customers and employees.

Cycle Friendly Destinations offer 3 Cycle Friendly Perks:

• Parking (for Cycles)

• Privy (Restrooms)

• Potable Beverages (Preferably Plastic Free Pure Water Bottle Filling)

Cycle Kettering has been recognizing destinations with cycle parking, water and restrooms with the Cycle Kettering Cycle Friendly Destination (CFD) seal of approval. CFD’s get a sticker to mount outside near their rack. The sticker has a CFD logo and a Cycle Kettering QR code. Destinations are also recognized and celebrated in social media. If your destination would like to be recognized for offering parking, water and restrooms then please contact: info@cyclekettering.org

If your destination is in need of a bike rack(s), Cycle Kettering can be your friend in helping to secure a free rack with free installation with just a few conditions, courtesy of Bike Miami Valley. Contact info@cyclekettering.org
