Cyborg Dreams is a science fiction/fantasy trilogy by author H.A. Burns. The second novel "The Buried Past" details how to accidentally become a cyborg and is the origin story of Daniel from the first Cyborg Dreams novel. How do you become a cyborg? Simple: tragedy. Lose a limb, lose an eye or two… and have an evil brother. Dr. Daniel Jahren never meant to become what he did, but his brother Cliff sure did. Suffering from muscular dystrophy his whole life, Cliff Jahren endeavored to transcend his body when he realized he couldn’t repair it. He needs the help of his reluctant brother Daniel, a neurosurgeon, to create the most state of the art prosthetics ever imagined. But Daniel is too busy trying to have a normal life and even a wife. Unfortunately for Daniel, Cliff isn’t about to let anything get in the way of his cyborg dreams.

In the third and final installment "The Awakening" you find out what ultimately happens to Catherine from the first book and Daniel from the second. Catherine is asked to travel to post-apocalyptic LA in order to find something that Daniel tells her will save the world. In this thrilling adventure she meets many fantastic characters, including a dwarf warlord who rides on Komodo dragons and an anarchist gang led by a man named Cybersausage.
