For this project we want to create a first person shooting game that can be played with using the HTC Vive. This project works best in a VR setting because of its immersive characteristics. Because it is a first person shooter game, using the Vive for this would give the user the most immersive experience that a gamer can get when playing a FPS game.
The year is 3018 and mankind has been conquered by cyborgs that became self-aware and viewed themselves as the superior beings of the world and took away all the resources. Mankind has slowly become extinct, however, a faction of people, called S.T.R.I.K.E, are a group that wage war against the machines in order to save mankind. Finally, after years of espionage and casualties, S.T.R.I.K.E. has finally acquired all resources to destroy the evil cyborgs and save all of mankind.
The game would have multiple aspects to it. The player would be holding a gun. With the gun in hand they can aim around and fire shots in whatever direction they wish. With the gun itself, we would need to be able to shoot bullets and whatever the bullet hits would cause a response based off of what it hits. The game would have robots that will be coming at the player from random spots. It is the players responsibility to shoot the robot before it reaches the player. Kind of like zombie games where the player must stab the zombies before they kill the players. We would need to work on the animations of the robots. We would also need to work on colliders that would respond appropriately when shooting at the robot. Other aspects of the game would be the surrounding visuals and objects. We will add the ability to walk around, perhaps something like a maze or every time the player completes a level they will move to another scene/level.
For this project we plan on using the HTC Vive. The reason we will be using this is because of accessibility of this device. Also since we will be creating a VR application, the HTC Vive is perfect. For implementation we will be programming this using Unity. Everyone in our group has experience with Unity so it makes it easier. Also, Unity has a great collaboration feature and this will come in hand when working together.

The project will be using VRTK, SteamVR, and various models that will be obtained from the Asset Store.
Some Example Models (will add more during development, these are the first few we have planned out, sorta.) :
1) Cyborg Enemies that will the user will have to destroy.
2) a.) Example of a gun that the user will be able to use against the robots
2.) b.) The default pistol the user will be using (from Unity 3D Asset Store - Pistol Pack.
The idea is that the user will start off with this gun and as the game progresses the user will be able to acquire more powerful guns.
3.) Ruined City. This is what the ideal world will look like, however, this may be changed during development.
