Cyber Shield ("Cyber Shield", "the App", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile security application developed by Adnan Malik 83.
This Privacy Policy explains how Cyber Shield accesses, uses, processes, stores, and protects information when you use the App.
Cyber Shield is designed to perform security checks locally on your Android device.
Depending on the features available, Cyber Shield may access or check the following:
Cyber Shield may check:
Whether a secure screen lock is enabled.
Whether device storage encryption is active.
The Android version installed on the device.
The Android security patch level.
The device's current network connectivity status.
Cyber Shield's Threat Scan may inspect information about applications installed on the device.
This can include:
Application name.
Application package name.
Permissions requested by an application.
Whether certain selected permissions are currently granted.
The Threat Scan uses this information to perform a local, permission-based risk assessment and display the results to the user.
The App does not use this information to identify malware or determine that an application is malicious.
As part of its Threat Scan, Cyber Shield may inspect whether other installed applications request or have been granted selected camera, microphone, or location permissions.
Cyber Shield does not require camera, microphone, or location access for its own operation.
Cyber Shield does not use the device camera to take photographs or record video.
Cyber Shield does not use the device microphone to record audio.
Cyber Shield does not access or transmit the user's location.
Information accessed by Cyber Shield is used to provide the App's security features, including:
Generating a device security score.
Checking device security settings.
Identifying potentially risky combinations of application permissions.
Displaying low-, medium-, or high-risk classifications.
Providing information that helps users review application permissions.
Displaying device security information such as Android version and security patch status.
Cyber Shield's Threat Scan is a permission-based risk assessment. It does not claim to detect, identify, or remove malware.
Cyber Shield is designed to process the information described above locally on the user's Android device.
The App does not send security scan results, installed-application information, application permission information, camera data, microphone data, or location data to a Cyber Shield server.
Cyber Shield does not operate a remote server for storing users' security scan information.
Cyber Shield does not require users to create an account.
Cyber Shield does not operate a server-side service that collects or stores the information accessed during its security scans.
The App does not transmit to Cyber Shield servers:
Names or personal profiles of users.
Email addresses.
Telephone numbers.
Contacts.
Text messages.
Photos or videos.
Audio recordings.
Precise location information.
Security scan results.
Installed-application information.
Application permission information.
Information accessed for the App's security functionality is processed locally on the device.
Cyber Shield does not sell, rent, or share user information with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Because Cyber Shield does not transmit the information described in this policy to a server, there is no Cyber Shield server-side database containing users' security scan information.
The current version of Cyber Shield does not include advertising or third-party analytics services.
Cyber Shield does not maintain a remote user account or server-side database containing users' security scan information.
Security information generated during use of the App is processed locally on the device.
The App does not provide an online user account requiring account deletion.
If locally stored application data is created by the Android operating system or by future versions of Cyber Shield, users can generally remove that data by uninstalling the App or using Android's application settings.
Cyber Shield is designed to minimize data exposure by performing its security assessment locally on the user's device rather than transmitting scan information to a remote server.
Users should keep their Android operating system and Cyber Shield application updated and use appropriate device security measures such as a secure screen lock.
Cyber Shield currently declares permissions required for its security-checking functionality, including:
Broad application visibility required for the Threat Scan.
Network-state access.
Cyber Shield uses broad application visibility because its Threat Scan requires access to information about installed applications and their selected permission configurations in order to provide its core application-risk assessment.
During the Threat Scan, Cyber Shield may inspect whether other applications request or have been granted selected sensitive permissions, including camera, microphone, and location permissions.
Cyber Shield does not request camera, microphone, or location access for its own use.
The App does not use the camera or microphone to record users.
Cyber Shield is a general-purpose mobile security utility and is not specifically directed toward children.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Cyber Shield's functionality, permissions, data practices, or legal requirements change.
When changes are made, the updated policy will be published at the same privacy-policy URL and the effective date will be updated.
Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
