Intelligence Broadcast

Undercover officers a level of care-freeness to criminals as they won’t worry about police seeing themes have the obvious advantage of being able to be in high crime zones and prov commit crimes. For example – driving through grove street you are often perceived to be a gang member wanting to take turf so they would initiate on me as I drove past saying ‘’GET OUT OF HERE NOW’’ which CID can gain all of that certain information and start working on gang busts.

Gang Infiltration

Trident specialise in gangs whether that is infiltrating a certain gang or gaining information on a gang to then bust that gang work is some of the most dangerous so many perks are available for these officers. These officers are highly trained and only select few people can have a chance at joining Trident.

Organised Operations

CID shall work as a group in organised operations using the plain clothes to their advantage to execute arrests tactically. These shall be planned beforehand and involve 3+ CID officers. Some examples of this would be: Using twitter to your advantage seeing people who are selling drugs/guns in twitter when you can then either act as a fake buyer BUT YOU MUST NEVER AGREE ON A PRICE or you can go to said location and intercept the deal when you see the weapons

Rules

To ensure that CID runs as effectively as possible and is within CyberRP rules we will ensure that there are guidelines in place.

1. Keep the police hat off while patrolling and you MUST put it on right before you are to initiate or as soon as you have been initiated on or when you think you will be initiated on. NO firing back until it is on unless it is impossible due to circumstances. This is so they are aware of who you are and gives more credibility to you actually being an officer.

2. Patrol in pairs where possible, the more the better as you will have immediate back up. However, if patrolling with others, you MUST wear the same clothes as if you are to initiate on someone/be initiated on then your partner(s) can back you up without having to initiate themselves thanks to gang initiation rules.

3. When backing up other officers you MUST initiate separately as due to your clothing being completely different to PD however be ready to shoot back if they shoot you thanks to the self defence rule.

4. Do not pretend to want to buy weapons/drugs, only ask if they have weapons/drugs on them as it could be seen as scamming if you offer something for something and not carry through.

5. Do not commit crimes while plain clothed, you are still an officer! Of course we may want to seem like gang members but keep it lawful!

6. After being involved in a major incident or an incident with gang members change your clothes and car colour! Gangs communicate and people will start catching on if you are always wearing the same clothes/driving same car and will know you are police!

7. Do not use blacked out window tint, makes you more suspicious.

8. If possible, call in backup before initiating, they don’t know you are police so use this to your advantage and get back up on standby in case things go south.
