This camp will be an advanced continuation of CyberClass Summer Camp. Students may attend if they have previously participated in the Cyberclass Summer Camp, or if they already have a basic background in cybersecurity.
We'll cover advanced web and software security, password cracking, cryptography, and more in an interactive, hands-on environment. See below for more detailed curriculum.

Rising middle and high schoolers. Basic experience with cybersecurity or computer science required.
Taught by National Finalists of CyberPatriot, the world's largest cybersecurity competition, and the Presidents of Canyon Crest Academy's cybersecurity program. All of our instructors have much experience coaching middle and high schoolers, and are greatly passionate about cybersecurity. We are extremely excited to share the world of cybersecurity with you!

Afternoon session 12:30PM - 2:30PM
Monday: We will begin by reviewing the Linux operating system, then exploring log analysis and password cracking.
Tuesday: We will learn about web exploitation and possible exploitations of modern day cryptosystems, when they are badly implemented.
Wednesday: Topics include an introduction to assembly language, as well as buffer overflows and format strings in binary exploitation.
Thursday: We will explore computer forensics and reverse engineering.
Friday: We will dive into more advanced cryptography, then conclude the week with a fun ethical hacking competition (Capture the Flag style) to put everything we've learned to the test!
Stable Internet and a device that has the Zoom app. You will also need pencil and paper on hand for scratchwork.
Out-of-class assignments will be given to solidify concepts and act as enrichment, but all homework given will be optional.
Full refunds will be given, minus a $20 processing fee, for cancellations requested before 6/13. No refunds may be issued after 6/13.
No, but it is preferred. In general, coding will not be the focus of this summer camp, but rather a tool used in a cybersecurity context. Any necessary coding concepts will be reviewed beforehand.
