Cyber Scan is committed to protecting your privacy. This application is a security utility designed to help users analyze app permissions, scan QR codes, and check file/link safety. We follow a strict Privacy-by-Design approach: all analysis is performed locally on your device.
2. No Data Collection Policy We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal or sensitive user data.
We do not require accounts or logins.
We do not use background tracking or analytics.
Your files, app lists, and URLs never leave your device.
3. Permissions and Data Usage Cyber Scan only requests permissions that are essential for the features you use.
a) App Visibility (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): Purpose: Required for the "App Permission Analyzer" feature.
Usage: This allows the app to generate a report showing which of your installed apps have access to sensitive hardware (like Camera or Microphone). This data is processed locally and is never shared.
b) Camera Access: Purpose: Required for the "QR Safety Check" feature.
Usage: Used only to scan QR codes to analyze the security of the embedded links.
c) Media Access (Images/Video/Audio): Purpose: Required for "Image Forensics" and "PDF Analysis."
Usage: Allows the app to read the metadata of files you specifically select to check for privacy risks (like GPS tags).
d) Internet Access: Purpose: Used for "Link Safety Check" and to display non-intrusive advertisements.
Usage: No personal data is transmitted.
4. Data Security & Local Processing
All scanning and analysis are performed offline and locally on your mobile device. We do not use cloud-based scanning for your private files or app lists. This ensures your data remains under your total control.
5. Prominent Disclosure & User Consent
Before accessing sensitive information (like your app list), Cyber Scan provides a prominent in-app disclosure. We only proceed with the analysis after you provide explicit, affirmative consent by clicking "Agree."
6. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children, as we do not collect data from any users regardless of age.
