NHS Non-Physical Service Hours (Purchasing-Based)

Students may earn non-physical service hours by purchasing pre-approved NHS items that are brand new and donated to NHS on behalf of pre-approved organizations. .

• Hour conversion: $5 = 1 service hour (rounded down; no partial hours)

• Items must be donated and may not benefit the student or immediate family

Required Documentation

• Official NHS NP Hours Form filled out to completion.

• Receipt showing date, item and total amount spent - this is a steadfast rule. If you do not have the receipt or lose the receipt, no hours will be counted. (If a student was unaware of this requirement at the time of purchase, the only option is to return the item and repurchase it to obtain a valid receipt.) To maintain the integrity of our society, this rule is absolute and cannot be challenged or waived under any circumstances.
