This session introduces participants to the methodology for visual literacy and at the same time to the (self)mentoring scheme.
Visual literacy empowers participants to understand and engage with visual information and the world as they perceive it. Through deliberate methods of discussion and questioning, participants are provided a safe space to express themselves and interpret what they see. Over time, they acquire valuable tools that enable them to engage with the world with confidence. By focusing on several artworks per session and dedicating at least half an hour to analyzing, discussing, and examining each piece, the project fosters active and inclusive participation. This approach ensures every voice is heard and valued, promoting and cultivating diversity and tolerance. This approach is inclusion in practice.
