The Benefits and Difficulties of Web Development
The web development module was yet another excellent aspect of my ICT coursework. Creating a website from the ground up was very rewarding and challenging. In addition to developing my knowledge of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles, I also learned how to code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It took painstaking attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving to create a website that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
There were many difficulties in web development. It took persistence and patience to debug code, make sure the website worked across browsers, and optimize performance. But these difficulties also offered priceless teaching moments. Overcoming challenges in web development helped me develop not only my technical abilities but also my resilience and critical thinking.
Realizing My Love and interest for 3D Modelling
The course's 3D modelling module was one of its most fascinating and fruitful components. Though I had no prior experience, I had always found the idea of making digital objects come to life fascinating. The first few lessons were difficult; there was a steep learning curve to get the hang of the software and techniques. Nonetheless, the hands-on nature of the coursework and the guidance from our amazing teachers and staff at ICT made the learning process interesting and doable.
In order to produce realistic and creative designs, I experimented with various shapes, texture and lighting effects. Whether it was fine-tuning a model's details or troubleshooting software problems, this challenged me to think critically and solve problems. Seeing my designs come to life in three dimensions gave me satisfaction that inspired me to learn more in this subject.
Verdict
My experience at City of Westminster College's ICT department has been one of learning and development. My understanding of information technology has expanded as a result of my involvement with a variety of topics. The most enjoyable and challenging topics so far have been web development and 3D modeling, which have motivated me to put in more effort and do my best work.
