Contactless Health Monitoring with AI
Part I: camera based health monitoring
Camera based health monitoring: from research to applications (1 hour)
Camera based health monitoring: from research to applications (1 hour)
(1) Fundamentals of measurement
- Human physiology: cardiovascular and respiratory systems, heart bumps, pulmonary circulation, oxygen/co2 transport and exchange, arterial and venous blood, blood volume changes, etc.
- Skin optics: skin composition and structure, light penetration depth into skin, light interactions with skin tissues and absorbers (scattering and absorption), skin reflection, wavelength dependency, etc.
(2) Measurement setups and methods:
- Camera setups: multi-cameras system, RGB2NIR (dual-band), low-light cameras, thermal cameras
- Light source unit: broad-band illumination LED
- Reference: contact-PPG/ECG, CO2 capno, human annotations
- Measured signs/activities: heart rate (DIS, CNN), breathing rate (Color/2D ProCor), posture from physiological measurement, thermal classification on breathing patterns, patient comfort/discomfort classification, etc.
(3) Applications/products:
- VitalEye respiratory/cardiac gating
