Every year we send out an annual set of Christmas Gift Cards to local area veterans in need. Each year the number of cards changes, however, it averages at around three per year. We hope to be able to make this go up significantly as time goes and funds that we receive increase.

In 2017 we donated enough to the Idaho Veterans Gardens in Caldwell, ID to allow them to add another entire plot.

In 2018 we came up with an official name for the chapter beyond our number designation of 13-4. Since Payette has the only Doughboy Statue in the state of Idaho, and we as a chapter are on record as caretakers of the statue with the Smithsonian, we decided that the best way to honor those that came before us, and those that will come after us, was to name the chapter the "Payette Valley Doughboys."

One of our members designed the logo, the chapter discussed and then voted on naming the chapter. From there he made it into patches and stickers that members can use. We wear our Doughboy Patch on our vests with pride. It is currently registered with the CVMA^® Chapter Logo Catalog.

In 2018 we started the Doughboy Poker Run. This is an annual event that we hold to raise money for local area veterans.

In two years of the event, we have raised over $5,000 for the VFW Post 2738 Building fund. and over $3,000 for local area veterans.
