Chittenden Fire Station
We are proud to announce the purchase of this 2025 Freightliner Pumper / Tanker hybrid. This behemoth carries 1500 gallons water (standard tanker water load) but also features a full-size 1250 gpm pump, meaning it can function as a traditional pumper. This combines the old tanker (recently sold to Danby - Mt. Tabor) and Engine 3 (up for sale! Check Facebook for details) into one truck!
The Chittenden Volunteer Fire Department has served the Town of Chittenden and the surrounding area since 1957. The all-volunteer department responds to various types of calls including chimney fires, forest fires, motor vehicle accidents, and mutual aid to assist in other towns. The First Response branch of the Fire Department is tasked with responding to medical calls and providing aid before the arrival of an ambulance.
The firehouse is located in the same place it's always been, at 266 Chittenden Road in Chittenden, Vermont. (See map below)
