1. As a Faculty Member (01/09/2002 to 23/08/2023), Faculty of Engineering Sciences (FES), GIK Institute Topi, Pakistan.
Supervised MS students in Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy
·Supervised MS students in the synthesis and characterization of Quantum Dots for Potential Applications in DSSCs.
Supervised MS and PhD students on the fabrication and characterization of sensors, junction diodes, photodiodes, and next-generation solar cells
Supervised MS and PhD students on the characterization of organic semiconductors for potential electric, electronic and photonic applications.
2. As a Ph.D. student (22/10/1990 to 09/12/1994), Dublin City University, Ireland.
Participated in the design, development and characterization of multilaser, multichannel spectrometer at the Laser Plasma Research Centre, DCU, Ireland.
Using dual laser produced plasma technique, carried out time and space-resolved investigations of laser plasmas. Measured the photoabsorption spectra of free atoms and ions in the VUV/XUV spectral region. The spectra were recorded on a 2.2m McPherson grazing incidence spectrometer equipped with a MCP/PDA multichannel detection.
To interpret the measured spectra carried out atomic structure calculations using Cowan's and Grant's codes on VAX, HP Workstation and Cray.
