Teaching Language and Content Spanish
Saturday, October 16, 2021
As the interest in dual language education increases, the CVDLC strives to provide parents with knowledge on how to bring a multilingual world of education to our communities. In this fun, half-day event parents will learn about the benefits of dual language education, how to support bilingualism and academic achievement at home, and much more!
The grade alike series supports teacher growth by providing professional development, collaboration, and networking. Here teachers are able to connect with other dual language teachers from the Central Valley.
The Administrator Institute for the Central Valley Dual Language Consortium presents a hands‐on, research‐based symposium for administrators. Whether you are looking at launching a start‐up or have a well established Dual Language Program in your school, this institute provides a space to learn and connect with other administrators in the valley.
The Consortium Mixer is a bimonthly meeting where dual language educators can network and collaborate with colleagues from around the valley.
The CVDLC Site Visits allow educators from around the Valley to enter the world of bilingual education. Whether you thinking about starting a dual program or wanting to see what other programs are like, the site visits gives you the opportunity to observe bilingual schools in our area. The day starts with a welcome & presentation that allows you to get to know more about the school you are visiting. Visitors are then led around campus where they can see teaching in action. At the conclusion of the visit, visitors have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
The Central Valley Dual Language Consortium holds and annual Spanish Spelling Bee at the Stanislaus county Office of Education for bilingual school who are interested in participating.
