Central Valley CSD Foundation Honors Second Quarter Students and Employees of the Month

(ILION, N.Y. – February 17, 2020) – The Central Valley Central School District Foundation recognized the district’s students and employees of the quarter at its February 11 meeting.

“We were proud to be able to recognize students who stand out in academics and good citizenship,” said JoAnn Duga, Foundation president. “It was also a great night to publicly acknowledge some of the employees who make our district such a great place for our students.”

The program, which was implemented at the beginning of the school year, recognizes up to four students and employees each quarter with the hope that there will be recipients from each school building: Fisher and Barringer Elementary Schools, Jarvis Middle School, and CVA High School, as well as the CVCSD bus garage.

Second quarter student recipients include Paige Austin and Kadence Lyman from Jarvis Middle School, as well as CVA students Brittany Martinez and Raven Murphy. No nominations for elementary students were received.

The employee recipients were: Julie Ball, Barringer Road teacher; Brady Boyd, district-wide employee who recently retired after 16 years as Director of Facilities; Scott Loiacono, bus driver; Neil McCraith, Jarvis teacher; and Adam Waldo, CVA custodian. No nominations for Fisher Elementary School were received.

Community members who would like to nominate a CVCSD employee for the quarterly recognition can find the nomination form at or on the Central Valley Central School District Foundation Facebook page.

Employee of the Quarter

The Central Valley Foundation believes that we have an outstanding and exceptional staff of teachers, custodians, nurses, secretaries, bus monitors, administators and more. Every day these fine individuals go above and beyond to assist others within our school community, and yet so very often the community as a whole is not aware of these great actions.

The Foundation would like to change that and has implemented a new program - Employee of the Quarter. Please nominate an Employee of the Quarter who you feel has made the most impact on your child's time here at Central Valley by filling out the form found here.
