This Privacy Policy explains how CV Builder ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
Information you provide. The App lets you create resumes by entering data such as your name, contact details, work experience, education, skills, and a profile photo. This content is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to servers we own.
Photos and camera. With your permission, the App can access your camera and photo library so you can add a profile photo or scan an existing resume. Images stay on your device, except when you use the AI scan feature (see Section 3).
Microphone / speech. With your permission, the App may use speech recognition to let you dictate text. Audio is processed to convert speech to text and is not stored by us.
Automatically collected information. Our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect device and usage information, including a device advertising identifier, IP address, and app interaction data, to provide and measure ads.
To create, edit, preview, and export your resume as a PDF.
To provide AI-assisted features (resume scanning and text suggestions).
To display advertisements that keep the App free.
To send local notifications (e.g., reminders), if you enable them.
When you use the AI features (scanning a resume or improving text), the relevant content — such as the resume image or text you submit — is sent to third-party AI providers to generate a result:

We do not control how these providers process data; please review their policies. We do not sell your personal information.
The App displays ads through Google AdMob. Depending on your settings and consent, ads may be personalized using your advertising identifier. You can reset or limit ad tracking in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads) or opt out of personalized ads where applicable.
Your resume content is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain accounts or store your resumes on our servers. To delete your data, remove your resumes within the App or uninstall the App, which erases all locally stored content. Data sent to AI providers is handled according to their retention policies.
The App may request: Camera and Photos/Storage (profile photo and resume scanning), Microphone (voice dictation), and Notifications. You can grant or revoke these in your device settings.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your information may be processed by third-party providers in countries other than your own, with different data protection laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
