CV Genius ("the App") is developed by ALF Tech ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.
Information We Collect
CV Genius is designed to work primarily on your device. The App stores the following information locally on your device only:
- Your name, email, phone, and account details you enter when signing up
- Resume content you create (personal information, education, experience, skills, projects, certificates, languages)
- Your app preferences and settings
This information is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. We do not operate a backend server that collects or stores your personal data.
AI Features
CV Genius includes optional AI-assisted features (summary generation, bullet point improvement, skill suggestions, etc.). If you choose to add your own AI API key in Settings, the resume content relevant to that specific request (e.g. your work experience text) is sent directly to the AI provider you configured (such as OpenAI) to generate a response. This is subject to that provider's own privacy policy. If no API key is configured, the App uses offline, on-device suggestions and no data leaves your device.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Since your data is stored locally on your device, you control it directly — you can delete it at any time by clearing app data or uninstalling the App.
Data Storage & Security
All resume and account data is stored locally using your device's standard app storage. We recommend keeping your device secured (passcode/biometric lock) to protect this information.
Your Choices
You can:
- Edit or delete any resume at any time within the App
- Clear all app data via your device's app settings
- Remove your AI API key at any time in Settings
- Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data
## Children's Privacy
CV Genius is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
