Privacy Policy for CV Craft Pro

CV Craft Pro ("we", "our", "us", or the "App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the CV Craft Pro application.

CV Craft Pro is a CV and resume creation application that allows users to create, edit, save, and download professional CVs.

By using CV Craft Pro, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information You Provide

CV Craft Pro allows you to enter information for creating your CV or resume.

Depending on how you use the App, this may include:

2. Local Storage of CV Data

CV Craft Pro is designed to store your CV information locally on your device/browser.

The App uses browser/device local storage to save CV profiles, CV information, selected templates, language preferences, theme preferences, and related application settings.

The App's source code uses local storage for CV profile information rather than sending the CV profile data to our own server or database.

This means that your CV information is primarily stored on the device where you use the App.

We do not operate a personal CV database for the information you enter into the App.

3. Profile Photos

The App allows you to upload a profile photograph.

Uploaded images are automatically resized/compressed by the application before being used in the CV.

The resulting image is stored as part of the locally stored CV profile data.

We do not intentionally upload your profile photograph to our own server.

4. Multiple CV Profiles

CV Craft Pro allows users to create multiple CV profiles.

Each profile may contain its own personal and professional information, and the profiles are stored locally using the application's local storage system.

Users can rename, switch between, and delete CV profiles within the App.

5. PDF Generation

CV Craft Pro allows users to generate and download their CV as a PDF.

The PDF is generated from the CV displayed within the application using the html2pdf.js library.

The App does not require users to upload their CV to our server in order to generate the PDF.

The resulting PDF is downloaded to the user's device.

6. Internet Connection

CV Craft Pro requires an active internet connection to operate.

The application checks the device's network connection and displays an offline screen when an internet connection is unavailable.

An internet connection may also be required to load third-party libraries, fonts, and other resources used by the application.

7. Third-Party Libraries and Services

The App uses certain third-party libraries and resources to provide its functionality, including:

These resources may be loaded from their respective third-party servers when the App is running.

Third-party services may process technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, or request information when resources are requested from their servers.

Their handling of information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

8. AI Rewrite and Job Description Features

CV Craft Pro provides features labelled "AI Rewrite" and "JD to Summary."

The current application code performs these features locally within the application. The "AI Rewrite" feature applies predefined text transformations, while the JD-to-Summary feature analyzes the entered job description locally to identify frequently used terms and generate a tailored summary.

The current implementation does not send the entered CV text or job description to an external AI API.

9. WhatsApp Sharing

CV Craft Pro provides an optional sharing feature that can open WhatsApp with a message containing information about CV Craft Pro and its Google Play Store download link.

The sharing function uses a WhatsApp web link and does not automatically upload or send the user's CV information through the sharing feature.

When you use WhatsApp, your interaction with WhatsApp is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy and terms.

10. Shared CV Links

The application contains functionality that can import a CV from a specially formatted URL containing compressed CV data.

If a user chooses to use such a shared CV link, the information contained in that link may be processed by the application and imported into a new local CV profile.

Users should avoid sharing CV links containing personal information with people they do not trust.

11. Data Security

CV Craft Pro does not maintain a central database for the CV information stored by the application.

However, information stored locally on your device is subject to the security of your device, browser, operating system, and user account.

We recommend using appropriate device security measures such as a screen lock, device password, and updated operating system.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Data Deletion

You can delete your CV profiles using the delete/reset functionality provided by the App.

The App also provides a reset function that removes locally stored CV-related data and application settings from local storage.

You may also clear the application's storage through your device/browser settings or uninstall the application where applicable.

Because the CV data is stored locally, deleting the application's local storage may permanently remove your locally stored CV information.

13. Children's Privacy

CV Craft Pro is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a server or online database operated by us.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App and you have a privacy concern, please contact us.

14. Advertising

If the published version of CV Craft Pro contains Google AdMob or another advertising SDK, that advertising service may collect certain information required for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, or other advertising-related purposes.

Such information may include device information, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, and information about advertising interactions, depending on the advertising configuration and applicable laws.

Advertising services operate under their own privacy policies.

Note: The files provided for this Privacy Policy review do not include the separate AdMob implementation file, so the exact advertising data practices cannot be verified from these files alone.
