Hi, my name is Andrea Mendoza. I was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and my background in dance is what first led me to fall in love with theatre execution and operations. That passion inspired me to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Stage Management at Pace University in New York City.
As a theatre stage manager, I have focused my work on dance productions, supporting the creative process through clear communication, empathy, and efficiency, always with strong attention to detail.
I believe leadership is not about control, but about service. I value creating environments where artists, collaborators, and guests feel supported and safe. I prioritize discipline and responsibility because preparation and organization build trust, and clear communication strengthens relationships. At the same time, I lead with empathy, understanding that every production is made up of individuals carrying different stories. I stand by the belief that empathy is also a form of creativity.
Alongside my work in theatre, I have experience in venue coordination and event management across New York City and Miami, supporting the production of large-scale and experiential events. I especially enjoy bringing my stage management background into live event settings, executing run-of-shows across corporate, entertainment, and hospitality environments.
Outside of theatre, you’ll usually find me exploring New York City, going to the beach, or hosting friends. I love discovering new coffee spots, finding good music, trying new recipes, and simply enjoying time with the people I love.
