Cutoffly ("the app", "we", "us") is provided by Yadwinder Sandhu. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Cutoffly you agree to this policy.

Cutoffly is local-first: If you never create an account, all of your data stays on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information: If you create a free account to enable Cloud Sync (a Plus/Pro feature), we collect your email address and a password (stored securely and in hashed form by our authentication provider). If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier Apple provides; you may choose to hide your email, in which case Apple gives us a private relay address instead.

• Your deadline data: The items you track — such as a title, category (Return, Warranty, or Trial), dates, and reminder settings. This stays on your device unless you enable Cloud Sync, in which case it is stored on our backend so it can appear on your other devices.

• Photos: If you attach a receipt or item photo (a Pro feature) and Cloud Sync is enabled, that image is stored in our private cloud storage so it can sync across your devices. Photos you do not attach are never uploaded.

Information collected automatically

• Purchase information: When you buy a subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive a subscription status (active / expired) through our subscription provider so the app can unlock the features you paid for.

• Notifications: Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server.

We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use your information

• To provide the app's core features — tracking deadlines and scheduling reminders.

• To sync your items and photos across your devices when you enable Cloud Sync.

• To verify and unlock the Plus and Pro subscription features you purchase.

• To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the app. Each only receives the data needed to perform its function:

• Apple — App Store: subscription billing, and Sign in with Apple. Privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

• Supabase: secure backend that stores your synced items and photos (protected by per-user row-level security). Privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy

• RevenueCat: manages subscription entitlements so the app knows which plan you own. Privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

Data storage, security, and retention

Your synced data is stored on secure servers and is protected so that only your account can access it. Photos are kept in a private storage bucket that is not publicly accessible.

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, or ask us to delete your data, we remove your synced items and photos from our servers. Data held only on your device is removed when you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.

Your choices and rights

• Use the app without an account. Cloud Sync is optional. Without an account, your data never leaves your device.

• Access and correction. You can view and edit all of your items directly in the app.

• Delete your data. You can delete individual items in the app at any time. To delete your account and all synced data, use the account-deletion option in the app's Settings, or email us at the address below and we will process your request.

• Regional rights. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children's privacy

Cutoffly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected in the app or the App Store listing.
