PRIVACY POLICY

The short version: your business names, branch details, document numbers, dates, notes, and any photo or file you attach are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else. The only thing that leaves your device is anonymous usage activity — which screen you opened, not what's on it.

1. Information you provide, stored on your device When you use Custorra to track a business, the following is saved in a local database on your phone, and nowhere else: business and branch details (names, type, city, state, GSTIN/registration numbers); document details (titles, categories, issuing authority, numbers, issue/expiry dates, notes); any photo or file you attach or scan, saved to app-private storage only; your reminder schedule, app-lock PIN (stored as a one-way hash, never as plain text), and any recovery code; backup files you choose to export, written to storage you select — we never receive a copy.

2. Usage analytics we do collect Custorra uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, so we can improve it. This is limited to behavioral events, never document content: onboarding_completed, business_created, first_licence_added, dashboard_viewed, dashboard_empty_state_viewed, add_first_licence_clicked, dashboard_document_opened, renewal_alert_clicked, dashboard_quick_action_clicked. Firebase also automatically collects standard technical data: app version, device model and OS version, and an approximate, coarse location (country/city level from IP address, never precise GPS). None of this includes your business name, document titles, numbers, notes, or attachment contents. This data is processed by Google LLC under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

3. Permissions, and what they're actually for Camera — used only when you scan a document; the photo is saved directly to app-private storage, never transmitted. Photos/Storage — used to attach an existing file or export a backup to a location you choose. Notifications — used to deliver renewal reminders you've scheduled. Biometrics (if App Lock is enabled) — authenticates you locally through Android's own biometric system; Custorra never receives biometric data.

4. We do not sell your data, and there is no cloud copy Custorra has no account system and no server storing your business or document data. Analytics events (Section 2) are the only data reaching a third party (Google, as our analytics processor); we do not sell or trade data to advertisers or data brokers.

5. How long we keep it, and how to delete it Data in Section 1 stays on your device until you delete a record yourself, clear the app's data, or uninstall — which erases it immediately, with no copy elsewhere. Analytics events are retained by Google under Firebase's standard retention settings.

6. Children's privacy Custorra is a business tool. It is not directed at, marketed to, or knowingly used to collect data from anyone under 18.

7. Your rights and choices Since your data lives only on your device, you already control it directly — view, edit, or delete any record in-app, or remove all of it by clearing app data or uninstalling. Questions about the analytics in Section 2: email custorra0@gmail.com.

8. Changes to this policy If this policy changes meaningfully, we'll update the effective date above. Continuing to use Custorra after a change means you accept it.

TERMS OF SERVICE

The short version: Custorra helps you track and get reminded about licences and filings — it is a tracking aid, not a compliance guarantee, and not legal or professional advice. You're always responsible for verifying deadlines and requirements with the relevant authority.

1. Accepting these terms — By using Custorra, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy above.

2. What Custorra does — Organises business licences, filings, and certificates by branch; tracks expiry/renewal dates; sends reminders you configure; assists filling document details from a scan using on-device text recognition; gives an audit-readiness and insights view from data you've entered.

3. Not legal, tax, or regulatory advice — Custorra is a tracking and reminder tool, not a substitute for professional advice. It does not determine what licences your business legally requires or confirm current government rules. Requirements vary by state and business type — always confirm with the relevant government department or a qualified professional (CA, company secretary, or lawyer).

4. Reminders aren't guaranteed — Whether a notification reaches you depends on your phone's battery-optimization settings, permissions, and OS behavior — all outside our control. We do not guarantee delivery. You remain solely responsible for tracking your own deadlines independently of the app.

5. Scanned and auto-filled data can be wrong — On-device text recognition is a convenience, not a certified reading. Always review and correct fields on the review screen before saving; you're responsible for the accuracy of the final saved record.

6. Your data is your responsibility to back up — Everything is stored on-device with no cloud copy. Uninstalling, losing your phone, or clearing app data without a backup permanently deletes everything. Use the built-in encrypted backup/export feature before switching devices or uninstalling. We cannot recover data that was never backed up.

7. Acceptable use — Use Custorra to track your own business's (or a client's, with consent) compliance documents only.

8. Ownership — The Custorra name, logo, and app are owned by its developer. Your business and document data always belongs to you.

9. Limitation of liability — To the maximum extent permitted by law, Custorra's developer is not liable for any missed renewal, regulatory penalty, fine, business loss, or other damage arising from use of the app, including an undelivered reminder or an uncorrected auto-filled value. Custorra is provided "as is."

10. Changes and termination — We may update the app or these terms at any time. You may stop using or uninstall Custorra whenever you like — back up first (Section 6).

11. Governing law — These terms are governed by the laws of India.
