The Revolution marches on with the second Grand Prix of Exalts of Twiltrie season. The headline of the season remains the introduction of 1-mana mana dork Huskforger Acolyte to the format. Every competitor that chooses not to include it in their deck either needs a plan to answer it or a plan to overpower it. Looking through the decklists it's pretty easy to categorize decks based on which approach they're taking in this metagame, and that's especially true of the players that made it to top cut this month. 

Three out of the seven players in the playoff start out with 4 Huskforger Acolyte as the foundation for their decks, though each of their decks went in different directions from there. Among the players taking an alternative path, one chose a white-black-colorless superfriends deck looking to answer or disrupt it and grind out the game from there, one chose a blitz deck with cycling synergies looking to outspeed it, and two chose to try and blow the lid off things completely, one with reanimation and the other with Weather enchantment combos. After a semifinals that included a Huskforger Acolyte mirror, the finals were set between Lih playing Gruul Spore Spawning and HSquid Playing Orzhov+Colorless superfriends.

HSquid's deck is primed and ready to earn a 2-for-1 every turn. This value train often starts with Contest Coordinator, which can find every planeswalker in the deck alongside a couple choice removal spells.

Lih's deck is all about consistency and cardflow via beefcakes Reaper of Blossoms and Fabricated Anomaly. Lih is often looking for an early Spore Spawning to gum up and overwhelm the board, especially since its cheap cost and inclusion of exile make it hard to interact with. HSquid was able to keep Lih off of Spore Spawning in game 1, but the long games HSquid aims for allowed Crumbling Towers to build up into massive burn spells in games 2 and 3, sealing Lih's victory. Congratulations to Lih on their first grand prix win, commiserations to HSquid, and remember, the best time to join the Revolution is now!
