Trade show booths are very important to your success as a new vendor. They can make or break you. So it's a good idea to invest in quality tradeshow booth design. A tradeshow booth can set you back quite a bit of money, but you can often save quite a bit by getting creative. Some good ideas include tradeshow booms and signs.

You may be wondering what a tradeshow booth really looks like. It's essentially a large banner or sign that usually hangs between two racks on either side of your booth. If your trade show displays have a unique look to them, then your tradeshow booth will be even more unique. For example, if your exhibit has metal walls or stands, then a tradeshow banner or sign company can help create a uniform look for your merchandise. There are dozens of sign companies available, so you'll want to do some research to find one that you feel confident using. Here are some important tips to help you get the best value from your tradeshow booth sign or banner.

Tradeshow booth signs come in several different materials. Sometimes a sign company will provide you with a customized vinyl banner. The great thing about these is that they're generally cheap. But if your trade show displays aren't going to include many unusual designs, then a vinyl banner might not be your best bet. Your next option would be to look into an aluminum sign.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your tradeshow sign company might also offer other types of signage. And not all of them can provide you with the same types of services. A good sign company will design signs and banners for all kinds of displays, including indoor and outdoor exhibits. It's a service worth considering if you're hoping to expand your customer base at your next trade show. If you can, find out what kind of services your sign company offers.

Are they providing services that you need? Ask yourself whether your signs are going to be portable. If they're large, can you bring them with you? Also, consider how much space you have available. Tradeshow companies might be able to provide you with several different sizes of stands, but some are only available in certain widths.

Will your sign company be able to customize your graphics and lettering? If you're trying to match a product to a particular company, it might be helpful to use the same lettering and artwork. Otherwise, it might take more time getting something that works out. Some companies might be able to add your own graphics, but might charge you extra to do it.

Can you rent or lease the booth? Sometimes it's possible to rent a stand for your trade show appearance, rather than purchasing one outright. That allows you to use it for other events, such as exhibits, fundraisers, or selling promotional products. It might also make it easier to move the signage around if you need to do so.

Will you be charged entry fees? The amount of time you'll spend in the booth will greatly affect what you pay, as booths typically run for a few hours. It might be a good idea to ask about entry fees before you arrive.

What safety measures are available? Tradeshow-style displays tend to attract a lot of people who are interested in your booth, so you want to be certain that your equipment is protected from potential accidents. You might also consider asking the company whether they have safety guidelines for their tradeshow booths, so you know what to expect.

Are you going to be signing anything on the sign? While most companies will allow you to leave your name and phone number on the sign for customers to get in touch with you, some won't. Consider asking to leave your name out of the marquee name and call number, as well as any other information relevant to your company. Some sign companies will sell space on their signs to another company for a fee. Be sure to check first!

Will the tradeshow marquee rental cost more than renting the stand? Some booth rental companies will charge significantly higher rates for shorter periods of time. However, if you find a great display that lasts all day, or if it has a catchy message and interesting graphics, it might be worth the slightly higher rental fee. As with everything else, be sure to compare your rates before you agree to display at a trade show. Trade shows aren't cheap, but they can be a good investment for new businesses - and an excellent chance to network with other industry leaders.
