The fourteenth annual meeting of California Universities Semantics and Pragmatics (CUSP) will take place at UCSD on February 19-20, 2027.Â
We invite submissions of abstracts for talks on any topic under the umbrella of semantics and pragmatics. Since we aim to foster a supportive and collaborative community of researchers in these fields in California, we especially encourage submissions from graduate students and early career researchers at California institutions.
Abstracts should be no more than one page, with an optional second page for figures and references.
Abstracts should be anonymized.
Abstracts should be in PDF format and sent to cusp.ucsd@gmail.com with the subject line "CUSP submission" no later than December 1st, 2026
In the body of your email, include author name(s), along with affiliation and status (e.g., grad student, postdoc, etc.)
Notifications of acceptance will be sent by mid December.
Limited funding for travel and/or accommodations may be available for graduate students without other funding sources.
