Prof . Pradhan Parth Sarthi has done M. Sc. (Tech) in Geophysics (Meteorology) (1993) and Ph.D. in Geophysics (Meteorology)(2000) from Department of Geophysics, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Prof. Parth Sarthi has been worked extensively on Modelling Study of Indian Summer Monsoon as Post-Doctoral Fellow at Centre for Atmospheric Sciences, IIT Delhi during 1998-2006, worked, during 2006-2010, at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) as well as in TERI University, New Delhi. In 2010, Dr.Parth Sarthi joined Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) and currently he is Professor at Department of Environmental Science, CUSB, Gaya, Bihar, India.
Prof. Parth Sarthi guided numbers of MPhil-Ph.D. students and published research papers in international and national journals, book chapters, technical reports and others and carried out research projects funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt of India. His research interest is Eurasian Snow/Himalayan Snow and Indian Summer Monsoon Rainfall (ISMR), Projections of Rainfall, Temperature, wind, humidity using Regional Climate Model, PRECIS (collaboration with UK Met Office), and Global Climate Models of CMIP3, CMIP5 and CMIP6, Meteorological droughts over the Gangetic Plain, Climate Change and AES, JE and Malaria, Cyclonic storm in Indian Ocean, Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) and others.
Prof. Parth Sarthi has been contributing as Steering Committee Member of Bihar State Action Plan on Climate Change, Govt.He is has been served Advisory Member and Resource person for Bihar State Disaster Management Authority as well as State Task Force on Climate Change, Govt of Bihar. Presently, He is President, India Meteorological Society, Patna Chapter, Bihar, India.
