I received my BS in Psychology from Tulane University in 2012, and then received an MS in both Math and Applied Math from Western Washington University in 2017 and the University of Washington in 2019, respectively. I also worked as a data science consultant for the online dating site Coffee Meets Bagel in 2019 (which is how I met my fiancé!) and as a manager of workforce initiatives for the Seattle Colleges from 2014 - 2015.
I also have a number of hobbies and passions outside of work that I would love to talk about, including:
Sailing: specifically small-boat sailing. I often sail Hobie 16s and FJs, and I have recently been learning how to sail with a spinnaker at Sail Sand Point!
Board games: I am open to try any and all board games, but many of my recent favorites are designed around asymmetry and have strong narrative elements. Some specific examples include Beast, Arcs, Root, and Spirit Island.
Science fiction and fantasy books: there are so many authors whose work I enjoy, but some of my recent favorites at least include James Islington, Brandon Sanderson, and Greg Egan.
Bonding with and training my dog Zelda.
