GoldenDict and StarDict are pretty fits to these requirements. But StarDict seems works not very good: it not always can recognize a word under cursor. GoldenDict can't recognize word under a cursor too, with GoldenDict you should copy a word into clipboad in order to recognize it (Ctr+C+C). But GoldenDict have more convinient and understandable GUI, which is much easier to use.

yeah but lingoes isnt an add-on. All it does is translating the word the cursor is hovering over, no matter if it is written in word, internet explorer or PDF file (it works with foxit reader). It works with avira antivir, thunderbird, tobitradio.FX, MIRC and the ICQ chat window, too. It doesnt work for windows explorer and text editor though.

I created a Page with several hotspots on an image- if you hover over the hotspots the images are swapping. Now I decided to have a custom cursor (css), which works absolutely fine in Firefox, but doesn't really work in Safari.

In general, it's best not to tamper with how browsers normally behave. Changing the default cursor doesn't make your site better. In fact, it could confuse people if your links don't behave like links in all browsers -- Chrome, FF, MS Edge,, IE, Opera, Mac Safari, Safari iOS, Android, etc...

Hi, I am trying to build a Morse Code translator at home that will print to an LCD screen the English translation of the Morse Code imputed through a pushbutton. The code I developed functions okay, but I have a few unexpected bugs. First, if there is a long duration between button inputs while the attached program is running, the LCD will appear to move the cursor down one row, despite there being nothing in the code intended to move the cursor outside of setup. Second, the program will print nothing to the LCD unless a character is printed to the LCD during setup. This issue does not occur when printing to the serial monitor. I am not sure why these issues are occuring and would like help resolving them. Thanks for your time, Eli.

In my testing, simply moving the cursor over text on the screen or even the notepad didn't do anything.
