Colten Bruce (Hickory/Tin Man) is extremely excited to be back at SYT! Colten has worked on many productions in the past with Spartanburg Youth Theatre, Dorman High School and Spartanburg Little Theatre. Some of his favorite roles include Crutchie in Disney’s Newsies Jr., Jem in To Kill a Mockingbird, and Cosmo Brown in Singin’ in the Rain. Colten attends Dorman High School and loves to draw, sing and perform for others. Finally, Colten would like to thank his family and friends for all their love and support throughout this rehearsal process.
Pressley Campbell (Ensemble) is a junior at Dorman High School and is thrilled to be part of The Wizard of Oz. Pressley’s favorite roles include Roz Keith in 9 to 5 the Musical and Lina Lamont in Singin’ in the Rain. She is grateful for the support of her family, friends, and teachers. Chase is a rescue pup from the Spartanburg Humane Society. He was found during the hurricane and is the sweetest and most relaxed little dog you’ve ever met. He’s 2 years old and loves cuddling and hanging with this awesome cast. He looks forward to being adopted after the show!
Grace Clary (Ensemble) is a 12 year old student at Abner Creek Middle School. She is so excited to be back on the SYT stage. Grace was recently seen in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. as Alice and in The Rainbow Fish as ensemble. Grace has been involved in musical theatre since she was five years old. In her free time, she likes to sing, act, and hang out with her best friends. Grace would like to thank Maddie, the team, Mrs. Lauren, and her friends and family for their continued support.
Hunter Earls (Ensemble) is a 6th grade honor student at Green Charter School and a vocal student with Lawson Academy at Converse College. He loves music, video games, and working out. This is Hunter’s 4th production with SYT/SLT with his most recent appearance as Lionel in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical. Hunter is thankful for the opportunities the theater has given him and the friends he’s made through the process. He would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support.
Felicity Ferguson (Apple Tree 1/Ensemble/Dance Captain) is a 7th grader at Spartanburg Day School. She was last seen at SYT in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. In addition to her time at SYT, she also studies Irish Dance and Lyrical Dance at Ballet Spartanburg, plays basketball, and loves to travel and spend time with friends. She would like to thank her brother Beckett for inspiring her to do theatre and her sister Mirabelle for being her number one supporter while doing it. Hugs to mom and dad!
Reese Green (Barrister/Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of this play! She’s a middle schooler at Florence Chapel and has loved acting from a young age. Most recently, Reese appeared in The Rainbow Fish at SYT. She would like to thank her parents, DeAndera Sosa, Steve Bailes, Adam Sanders, Hannah Shadburn, Connor Vetter, and Maddie Tisdel for their support.
Josiah Greene (Zeke/Lion) is a sophomore at Broome High School. Josiah was recently in SYT’s Disney’s The Lion King Jr. as Banzai, as well as The Wizard of Oz at Broome High School as Tin Man. Josiah previously participated in Spartanburg District 7’s Frozen and several SYT Storybook Live productions. Josiah is also active in his church, school and Spartanburg Jack and Jill Chapter. In his spare time, Josiah loves to spend time with his family, listen to music, sing, and watch movies.
Gloriana Howard (Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch) is beyond grateful for this opportunity! She has been seen onstage many times, with her favorite roles including Summer Hathaway in School of Rock, Alice in Alice in Wonderland, Ghost of Christmas Present in A Christmas Carol, and Starfish in The Rainbow Fish. She also recently assistant stage managed for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical. Chloe Hujik (City Father 2/Ensemble) is so excited to be back on the SYT stage! She was last seen in Annie Jr. as Annette. Chloe is a junior at Spartanburg Day School where she was last on stage as Alice in Alice in Wonderland. She would like to thank her family and friends for their endless support and the production team for giving her this wonderful opportunity.
Dylan Johnson (Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of another SYT production. He was most recently seen at SYT as Fregley in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical. He also played James in School of Rock at Spartanburg Little Theatre. Dylan has been performing with the Inman Children's Theatre for the past few years where his love of the stage was first born. He attends Mountain View Preparatory School as a 7th grader and his favorite subject is math. Outside of theatre, he enjoys playing pickleball at McMillan Park, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. He would love to thank his friends and family for always cheering him on and all his kind supporters who have been guiding him through his theatre journey.
Charlotte Johnson (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making her SYT debut and would like to thank Maddie and the rest of the Oz crew for such an incredible opportunity. Charlotte has been performing with the Inman Children’s Theatre for the past few years, where her interest in the performing arts started. Offstage, Charlotte is a 5th grader at Libertas Academy and her favorite subject is math. She loves reading, making bracelets, and practicing gymnastics. She would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her through her theatre journey, especially her big brother, DJ, for always being by her side and inspiring her to become a theatre kid.
Neaisha Jones (Leader of the Winkies/Ensemble) is very excited and thrilled to be doing her third show with Spartanburg Youth Theatre! She was previously seen at SYT in Diary of A Wimpy Kid: The Musical and Disney’s The Lion King Jr. She would like to thank friends and family for supporting her, and the talented cast for working so hard!
Strong Jones (Uncle Henry/Ensemble) is 16 years old and a sophomore at Fountain Inn High School. He has done several productions with SYT, his favorites including Disney’s Newsies Jr., The Drowsy Chaperone, Disney’s The Lion King Jr., and Songs for a New World. He is extremely thankful for everyone who has supported him throughout his theatre journey.
Caroline Keever (Ensemble) has loved singing and performing for years and is thrilled to be in her first SYT show! She has taken musical theatre classes since 2nd grade. Caroline attends Anderson Mill Elementary, and her favorite subject is social studies. She is eager to see where her love of music and theatre take her, and is grateful for the support of her family!
Olivia Marsh (Ensemble) is thrilled to be back on the SYT stage! She is currently a freshman at Dorman High School. This is her 9th production with SYT. Favorite roles include Junie B. in Junie B Jones Is Not a Crook, Goose in Charlotte's Web and Dance Captain/Ensemble in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. Olivia would like to thank her family, Ms. Maddie, and the rest of the Oz production team.
Adison McAbee (Aunt Em) is so incredibly excited for you to see this wonderful show! She was most recently seen onstage at SYT as a Caroler in A Christmas Carol. Other favorite roles include Medda Larkin in Disney’s Newsies Jr. and Trix the Aviatrix in The Drowsy Chaperone. Adison is the proud President of the Junior Advisory Board at SYT and the Student Body Vice-President at Landrum High. She’s so thankful to be a part of the SYT family, and is grateful beyond belief for the opportunities she’s been given and the support she’s received from everyone these past three years! Penelope McDaniels (Apple Tree 3/Ensemble) loves SYT and is excited to return to the stage! Previous roles include Pauline in SYT’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical, Dance Corps in District 6’s production of Descendants, ensemble in SYT’s The Rainbow Fish, Squirt in District 6’s production of Finding Nemo Jr., and various plays at Pine Street School and Spartanburg District 7. She enjoys playing the viola and singing with McCracken Middle School’s Southern Accents group. Penelope would like to thank her family, her friends, and Becca for their support. Lakelynn McRoberts (Doorman/Guard/Ensemble) is excited to make her SYT debut in The Wizard of Oz. Her love for musical theatre began with Ms. Lauren at Arts Academy of the Carolinas. She has performed in Jesse Boyd Elementary and Spartanburg District 7 productions including The Wizard of Oz (Munchkin), Madagascar (Fossa), The Jungle Book (Lioness), Frozen (Ensemble) and The Music Man (Ensemble). Lakelynn is a fourth grader at Jesse Boyd where she enjoys chorus and Boyd Buddies. She is an active member of First Baptist Spartanburg. Lakelynn would like to thank her family for making it possible to juggle all the activities she loves- especially theatre!
Madison Miller (Professor Marvel/Wizard) is thrilled to return to the stage in The Wizard of Oz. She is a junior at Dorman High School. Previous roles include Maleficent in Descendants the Musical at Dorman High School and Rafiki in Disney’s The Lion King Jr. at SYT. Dylan Morrison (Niko/Ensemble) is thrilled for his final mainstage production at SYT. He is a senior and has vastly appreciated his time with the theater. He would like to thank his teacher and parents and wishes his fellow castmates good luck!

Ben Rodriguez (Mayor of Munchkin City/Ensemble) is excited to be back on stage with SYT! Some of his favorite roles include Bruce in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. and Ensemble in The Rainbow Fish. Ben is a 5th grader at Woodland Heights Elementary and in his free time he enjoys playing video games, reading, and sleeping.
Sophie Varner (City Father 1/Ensemble) is extremely honored for this opportunity. She has been active at SYT since she was young, taking classes and camps. In the last 3 years she has crewed and acted in several shows, including Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. and A Christmas Carol at SYT, and Anastasia at Dorman Theatre. Sophie is excited that her acting has come full circle, since her first play at Dorman was The Wizard of Oz when she was in 5th grade. Now, a senior at Dorman High School, she is so happy that you chose to follow the yellow brick road and support this show! Stephen Wilson (Ensemble) has loved participating in The Wizard of Oz. Previous shows at SYT include Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical (Rowley) and The Rainbow Fish (Ensemble). Stephen is beginning his fifth year of piano and starting his first year of voice. He enjoys reading Harry Potter, The Three Investigators, and learning about engineering through Crunch Labs. Stephen loves spending time with his siblings and playing board and video games.
Moss Evelyn Wise (Glinda) is a sophomore at Spartanburg High School and is so excited to be involved in her first production with the Spartanburg Youth Theatre. She has been performing since she was 7 years old and enjoyed supporting roles at Village Square Theatre, and swing roles for Spartanburg School District 7 musicals. As the understudy, Moss Evelyn was thrilled to have the opportunity to perform the lead roles of Anna in Frozen and Marian in The Music Man at District 7. She would like to thank her family, friends and teachers for always supporting and encouraging her.
Jaeleah Wise (Dorothy) is a sophomore at Dorman High School. She was last seen in SYT’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical. Jaeleah has also been in 9 shows with the Dorman Theatre Department, and performed the role of Mal in their summer camp production of Descendants Jr. She would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her theatre career and Jaeleah hopes you enjoy the show!
BELLA SCOTT (STAGE MANAGER) is an 11th grade homeschooler and is SO HONORED to have been given this chance to go to Oz! She has participated in numerous productions including assistant stage managing Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr. and playing the role of Octopus in The Rainbow Fish. Eowyn Connor is a homeschooled 8th grader and is excited to be back on crew. She has helped backstage with SYT's Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical Jr., A Christmas Carol, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical, as well as assisting with costumes during Ballet Spartanburg's The Nutcracker. Working backstage is always a pleasure, and she hopes everyone enjoys the show.

Zoie Johnson is a singer and songwriter who loves to connect with others through music. Earlier this year, Zoie made her musical debut as Elsa in Frozen Jr. Since then, she has become a Greer Idol finalist, and played Caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland Jr. Zoie is honored to transport you to the Land of Oz as part of the crew in her first show with SYT!
Taylor Keipper is excited for her SYT crew debut. Taylor is a student at Gable Middle School. She enjoys mountain biking and lacrosse. She would like to thank her parents for their love and support.
Samuel Kitchen is ecstatic for his thirteenth SYT production. He is a junior at Spartanburg Day School where he serves as President of the Drama Club. Samuel is a two-year JAB member, last seen onstage as Marley in A Christmas Carol at SYT and Friedrich in The Sound of Music at SLT. Samuel has also acted/crewed at BSIS, SDS, OPS, CAC, and USC. Samuel is an academic in ten school clubs, aspiring biochemist, and future ethnobotanist. Samuel thanks his nine-person family and this team for their support.
Cooper Martsberger is thrilled to be crewing his second show at Spartanburg Youth Theatre. When he is not at the theatre, he loves reading and drawing. He would like to thank Maddie, Adam, and the rest of the team at the Spartanburg Youth Theatre for this opportunity to be part of The Wizard of Oz.
Selah Rodriguez is very happy to crew this production while her brother Ben performs in it! She is a 7th grader at Dawkins Middle School and enjoys playing the violin in the school orchestra. In her free time, Selah loves to read. She would like to thank the librarians at Dawkins Middle School, Dr. Cox and Mrs. Zibell, for always providing her with recommendations of great books to read and for always supporting their students in theatre.
John Scott has crewed four shows at SYT and has loved every one of them! Theatre has made such a big impact on his life, and the people at SYT have made an even greater impact! He loves it here at SYT, and he hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Jonathan Wilson feels right at home in the theater. Some of his favorite roles have been Troy Bolton in High School Musical, Gilbert Blythe in Anne of Green Gables, Scar in Disney’s The Lion King Jr., and Ensemble in The Sound of Music. This past summer his skills were challenged and stretched in Songs for a New World. He takes voice and violin lessons and enjoys playing video games and reading fantasy novels. As a senior this year, Jonathan plans to attend Clemson University to major in engineering and stay involved in musical theatre.
Delaney Zibell is a 9th grade student at the Dorman Freshman Campus. She is actively involved in the Spartanburg Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Dorman Theatre Department. This is Delaney's fifth time crewing with SYT, having most recently crewed Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical. In her down time, she enjoys playing violin and guitar, listening to Broadway showtunes, and playing board games with her family. Delaney would like to thank Adam and all the SYT staff for all of the support they have shown her over the years!
