• Device Information: We may collect details about your device, including the device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, and app version.

• Analytics Data: We use analytics tools to understand app performance and user behavior. This data is aggregated and anonymized where possible.

c. Third-Party Data

• RSS Feeds: Articles displayed in the app are sourced from RSS feeds of reputable news outlets. We do not control the content of these feeds but display them as provided.

• Google Gemini API: When you generate quizzes, the article links are processed by Google Gemini AI. We do not share your personal information with Google, but the article links you select are sent to the Gemini API for quiz generation.

We do not collect sensitive payment information, as the app does not currently involve in-app purchases or subscriptions.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Account Management: To create and maintain your account, authenticate your login, and provide personalized features.

• App Functionality: To fetch and display news articles via RSS feeds and generate quizzes using the Google Gemini API based on your selected articles.

• Storage: Your personal information is securely stored on our Node.js server hosted on a MongoDB Virtual Private Server (VPS). We implement industry-standard encryption (e.g., hashing for passwords) to protect your data.

• Data Retention: We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the app services or as required by law. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our servers within a reasonable time frame, except where retention is required for legal purposes.

• Security Measures: We use encryption, access controls, and regular security updates to safeguard your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With trusted third-party providers (e.g., hosting services, analytics tools) that assist us in operating the app, provided they agree to keep your data confidential.

• Google Gemini API: Article links you choose for quiz generation are sent to Google’s Gemini API. This process does not involve sharing your personal information, only the content of the article links.

• RSS Feeds: News articles are sourced from third-party RSS feeds. We are not responsible for the accuracy, privacy practices, or content of these external sources.

• Google Gemini API: Quiz generation relies on Google’s Gemini AI. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for details on how they handle data processed through their API.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access and Update: You can view or edit your account details (name, email, password) within the app.

• Delete Your Account: You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at currentaiofficial@gmail.com. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed, subject to legal retention requirements.
