Version 3.4.0 · Updated 13 October 2026
Tickfolio stores your watchlist, preferences, alerts, cached quotes, portfolio holdings, purchase costs, goals, value history and Premium activation in your browser's local extension storage. The extension does not upload your holdings, costs, history or activation email/code to a developer-operated server. No analytics or advertising trackers are included in the extension.
Market quotes and asset metadata are read from a configured public Google Sheet. Requests omit Google account credentials and do not grant access to private Google files. Google receives the network information normally associated with a request, such as your IP address. The extension requests the shared market catalog rather than sending your portfolio quantities or purchase costs to Google.
When enabled, embedded TradingView charts contact TradingView and request the selected symbol or currency-conversion expression. TradingView receives normal network/browser information and the requested chart symbol, but the extension does not send it portfolio quantities or purchase costs. Google and TradingView operate under their own privacy policies.
Buy Premium opens an external PayPal checkout. PayPal processes payment information under its own policies; the extension does not receive card details. After a payment is independently verified, the developer uses the purchase email and transaction reference to issue and email an activation code and keep a private purchase/license record. Activation in the extension is verified locally against the email and signed code. The extension does not automatically verify payments or send activation emails.
An optional, labelled Wise referral link opens Wise in a separate tab. Clicking external links subjects those visits to the relevant service's policies. They are not required to use the free features.
storage saves the data described above locally.
alarms schedules quote refreshes, pair rotation, history recording and portfolio badge rotation.
notifications displays alerts that you configure.
The extension requests no website host permissions, browsing-history permission or access to private Google documents.
You can edit or delete watchlist pairs, holdings, goals, alerts and Premium activation in the extension. Pausing history recording keeps previously recorded values. Premium users can export a backup and restore it later; exported files include personal portfolio data and should be stored privately. Removing Premium does not delete saved holdings or history. Uninstalling the extension clears its browser-local data; it does not delete backups you exported or the developer's separate payment/license records.
For payment or license support and requests about separately held purchase records, use the developer contact listed on the extension's store page.
Tickfolio's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. User data is used only to provide the extension's disclosed features and related purchase/license support. It is not sold or used for personalised advertising, unrelated profiling, creditworthiness or lending decisions.
