Welcome to Currency Convert, a mobile application developed by JanoGroup LLC that lets you quickly and easily convert between world currencies using up-to-date exchange rates. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use Currency Convert. By downloading or using the app, you agree to the practices described below.
Personal Information
Currency Convert does not collect any personally identifiable information. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, precise location, or any other personal data. No login or registration is required to use the app.
Local Data Storage
All core functionality of Currency Convert runs directly on your device. This includes:
Your selected base and target currencies
Recent conversion history (e.g., last 10 conversions)
App settings and preferences (such as dark mode, decimal precision, or favorites)
We do not upload any of this data to external servers. If you choose to share or back up your conversion history, that action is handled via your device’s standard sharing or backup features.
Anonymous Usage Data
To help us improve the app’s performance and user experience, Currency Convert may collect non-personal, aggregated usage statistics, such as:
Frequency and duration of app sessions
Most frequently converted currency pairs
Error logs or crash reports (only with your consent)
These analytics cannot be traced back to you as an individual and are used solely to enhance features and stability.
Currency Convert obtains its rates from third-party currency data APIs (for example, the Fawaz Ahmed Exchange API). When you request a rate update, the app sends a request to that API’s servers. No personal data is included in these requests—only the currency pair and date. Please review your chosen API provider’s privacy policy for more details on how they handle data on their end.
Currency Convert may display ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device’s advertising identifier to provide non-personalized ads tailored to your interests. In addition to currency data and advertising, we rely on standard platform services for app distribution and basic analytics:
Google Play Services (Android)
Apple App Store frameworks (iOS)

Although Currency Convert does not transmit sensitive personal data, we follow secure development best practices and encrypt stored data when supported by your device. However, no system can be 100% secure. Please protect your device with a PIN, password, or biometric lock to prevent unauthorized access.
Currency Convert is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. JanoGroup LLC is not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from your use of—or inability to use—the app. By using Currency Convert, you assume all associated risks and release JanoGroup LLC from any related claims.
Currency Convert is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and provided information, please contact us so we can delete any such data.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features or legal requirements. Major changes will be highlighted in the app’s update notes or posted on our website. Continued use of Currency Convert after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
