WHAT DATA WE STORE
All data is stored LOCALLY on your device only:
• User Preferences - Your selected currencies and display settings
• Conversion History - Record of past conversions for your reference
• Favorite Currency Pairs - Pairs you save for quick access
• Rate Alert Settings - Your configured exchange rate alerts
This data NEVER leaves your device and is NOT sent to any servers.
EXCHANGE RATE API CALLS
To get current exchange rates, the extension connects to these services:
• ExchangeRate-API (exchangerate-api.com)
• Fixer.io (fixer.io)
• CurrencyAPI (currencyapi.com)
• Alpha Vantage (alphavantage.co)
• CurrencyLayer (currencylayer.com)
• Open Exchange Rates (openexchangerates.org)
Only exchange rate data is requested. No personal information is sent.
WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT
We do NOT collect:
• Personal information (name, email, address)
• Browsing history or web activity
• Financial or transaction data
• Location data
• Any data sent to external servers
PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED
• contextMenus - Shows "Convert Currency" in right-click menu
• storage - Saves your preferences locally on your device
• activeTab - Reads selected text for currency detection
• notifications - Sends rate alert notifications
• alarms - Checks exchange rates periodically for alerts
DATA SECURITY
• All data stored locally using Chrome's secure Storage API
• Exchange rate requests use HTTPS encryption
• No personal data transmitted externally
YOUR CONTROL
You can clear your data anytime:
1. Open the extension popup
2. Go to History or Settings
3. Use the "Clear" options

This extension is not intended for children under 13.
