Actors from The Office may feature in new media and franchises. Though it may be tempting to discuss their new roles, feeling like this is a safe community to do so: it isn't. This subreddit is for The Office only. If you make a post or comment that spoils new content (within reason, like for a major franchise) in other "cinematic universes", the post will be removed, and you may receive a ban.

The New York City office reopened in October, and I go in every day. I like having physically separate spaces for work and personal life, especially given the lack of space in most New York City apartments. I think that Reddit has done a good job of safely reopening the office.

A day later I was given another outrage. I was told in an email that my employees would be required to be at the office, and no one was allowed to work from home. They would be checking the door badge ins to verify we were at the office. I asked why in an email, and they said that they wanted to make sure no one was playing video games at work. We normally work from home about 2/3rd of the week and video game playing is a normal occurrence at work.

I write up an email to the VP over my department and the Bad VP. I tell them all that I let everyone know. We all were expected to work until 8PM Monday. Per the conversation with the bad VP I will be having an office party as a sort of sorry to the guys and gals who got shafted by this decision.

So now it is time to tell you about my office. See a while back, the IT team was moved from the main corp office and into a smaller building by itself. It has a nice gaming break room, a decent sized gym, and a full on drink bar. Soft drinks mind you, no alcohol at work. Out back is a big patio that crosses county lines as soon as you cross a small creek. A creek that just so happens to have a foot bridge over it, leading to an empty field.

This was the most expensive office party in the history of the company. The only things more expensive than this were some business meetings that the CEO rented private rooms in high end restaurants for.

With the holidays and some time off/time to adjust, I have decided to experiment with a segmented sleep schedule as it seems more natural to me. I really want to incorporate the Divine Office into this practice. I only currently possess the Christian Prayer book. I'm familiar with the traditional practice of Matins, which I've taken is the equivalent of the Office of Readings currently in use. However, given my morning schedule, I find it difficult to sometimes fit morning prayer into my routine (at least as far as a whole office is concerned).

A subreddit on the prayer of the Divine Office (also known as the Liturgy of the Hours or the Roman Breviary) of the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church, its private and public observances, as well as its historical development and place in Catholicism.

What can I do? I understand that is a problem caused by some residual file that is picked up by the PC but I've tried to uninstall and reinstall everything multiple times also using the tool from Microsoft but with no success. And the application are installed as Office 365 when checking inside the various apps. Sometimes after a Windows update I have Microsoft office 365 for a couple of day before it returning to the 2019 version.

In The Office, Charles Miner is perceived as a villain in Season 5, constantly trying to undo Michael's carefree management style. We see Michael launch the Michael Scott Paper Company, steal a ton of clients from Miner and force Wallace and Dunder Mifflin to buy them out and give Michael his job back.

Yay, Michael was right and he won!

Not so fast.

He failed.

Fact - Dunder Mifflin went bankrupt and was bought out by Sabre. Other branches failed to replicate Michael's success.

It's hard to argue that Miner's inability to save the company wasn't entirely his fault. He joined maybe one season before they were bought out and bankruptcies take anywhere from 4 to 5 years for a company of that size.

I have a theory that the reason DM went bankrupt was because other branches tried to duplicate the carefree management style of Michael after his management presentations he did with Pam, but it failed miserably because those managers aren't Michael and those offices don't have Dwight driving their sales numbers.

1________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Fact - Pam sucked bad as a salesman and eventually used a clerical mistake and lied about a promotion in order to move away from sales and embezzle a mid $40k salary from Sabre/Dunder Mifflin.

And perhaps the most telling truth of all -

2____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Brutal fact - Jim was a failure of a manager, constantly failed to implement any solutions that the team actually enjoyed, had to be bailed out by Michael a couple of times and even gave up as soon as he knew he would earn more as a salesman.

Dwight? Went on to become the branch manager at the end of the season, and never left Dunder Mifflin or Scranton, lending more evidence to the fact that he loves both Scranton and Dunder Mifflin more than anything and had restored the office to its former greatness.

So in the end, Dwight DID show promise, Pam was NOT a good salesman and Miner's failure to undo Michael's management style at Scranton was probably the reason the other DM branches were unable to undo their "Michael Style Management".

Miner, the guy we all hate, but are secretly attracted to, who was actually kind of right all along.

Fellow noob here! I rebuilt my instance lately using PHP-FPM and opcache for a performace boost and my server's running beautifully. Page loads are fast. Just need a reliable, responsive office suite to use BOTH via local IP address or via my SSL custom domain. I haven't been able to set either one up correctly, so I could use some assistance.

I wasn't in the room, so I didn't hear entire conversation, but the first thing I heard was my boss saying that the camera was there before my office ever was. Something about using it to see the front door originally, I guess. That was a weird excuse to me, though, because I've been there for atleast two months at this point and there's no way they could've "accidentally" watched me as much as it felt like they had been. Hearing the conversation out loud also confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was a camera, and that I wasn't paranoid.

The IT guy must've felt some type of way about it, because I didn't hear what HE said but I heard my boss say something about "well, it's not like I was just watching her in her office" in sorta a quieter, sheepishly defensive way. Nobody said anything to me while they were removing it (they took it from his side, not mine) but they instead put it where it would be facing the front door. This happened just over a week ago. 5376163bf9
